About
Biography
My artistic practice focuses on producing works capable of generating knowledge that adapts to the individual experience of each viewer. These are images in which I deliberately avoid assigning a predetermined meaning, allowing each person to construct their own interpretation through memory, perception, and lived experience. In this way, the work evolves alongside the individual, remaining open and mutable over time. I understand painting as a language that enables a specific form of communication. When an artwork maintains a sufficient degree of ambiguity, it can establish a meaningful bond with the viewer and operate as an active participant in an ongoing dialogue rather than as a closed statement.
Silver and copper function as directional elements within the image, encouraging each work to interact with the surrounding space. These materials are combined with graphic marks reminiscent of writing, designed to stimulate curiosity and invite the viewer to enter the pictorial field. The compositions are structured on surfaces conceived as walls, revealing multiple strata that introduce varying depths, while areas of exposed, unworked canvas confront these constructed surfaces directly. This tension generates a visual interplay in which no single element dominates, granting the viewer greater freedom in navigating the image.
The golden ratio formats and compositions that characterize my work act as visual connectors, fostering relationships between the viewer, the artwork, and the space in which it exists. Through this resonance with its environment, the work opens up new fields of interpretation and spatial reading.
I propose a slow, contemplative artistic experience in which the level of the viewer’s engagement determines the meaning of the image. It is through this active relationship between the artwork and the individual that significance emerges.
